What I’m about.

I help to create truly transformative user experiences across a wide variety of outputs. From printed editorial to digital information design, I ground solutions on a strong academic footing, with reasons for designs given through close study of research. It’s this rigorous – some may say obsessive – attention to detail, and a belief that theory should inform practice, that sets me apart. Explore my website and get in touch if it looks like I could help you out.

Over three years at the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication, I’ve been given the opportunity to create a wide variety of solutions across varied and interesting briefs. A key part of the syllabus at Reading is ‘Real Jobs’, whereby genuine clients approach the Department with a brief that is seen through to the end. My keen undertaking of these jobs has not only led to a distinctive portfolio, but also given me extensive firsthand experience of dealing with clients, deadlines, and differences of opinion, which I have consistently seen through with professionalism and integrity.

Collections

Research from collections and archives is an essential part of any design project, and I am proud to have collected many items of ephemera over the years. The two main collections are the Reading Buses Collection, on which I based my dissertation, comprising some 500 items, and the McDonald’s Packaging Collection, which comprises some 1,000 items of packaging from around the world.
